In Nativitate Domini

My apologies for the lack of posts.

As all of you will know, the season before Christmas is full of activities - catching up with friends, concerts, shopping for presents, going to church etc etc. I sometimes wonder if things can be spread out more evenly - why do people choose to catch up with friends only in December?!!

Wishing our readers a blessed Christmas! Leaving you all with something to contemplate.

O Magnum Mysterium

O magnum mysterium et admirabile sacramentum
ut animalia viderent Dominum natum
jacentem in praesepio.

O beata Virgo, cujus viscera meruerunt
portare Dominum Jesum Christum.
Alleluia!

O great mystery and admirable sacrament,
that animals could see the birth of our Lord
lying in a manger.

O how truly blessed is the Virgin whose womb was worthy
to bear and bring forth the Lord Christ Jesus.
Alleluia!
